Engineer - Front End

Job Description

As the Front End Engineer, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining innovative interfaces used by a growing number of users each month to ensure the UX/UI is user-friendly, keeps with company branding and aesthetics,  and is scalable as we grow. You should have a strong background in the fundamentals of software development and a deep understanding of various languages, technologies, and solutions.

Key Responsibilities & Objectives

• Be liaison between the product owner and the actual code base
• Work with technology department and web product team to design UX/UI
• Strong understanding of HTML5 semantics and CSS3 (Sass).
• Implementing stable JavaScript frameworks and animation techniques
• Troubleshooting issues with existing code
• Researching, recommending, gaining adoption
• Keep product up to date with new technology

Skills & Specifications

• Strong understanding of HTML5 semantics and CSS3 (SCSS).
• Experience with web animation techniques
• UX & UI design experience
• Experience with Javascript libraries and frameworks (e.g. React)
• Understanding of web services technologies such as HTTP, WSDL, XSD, and REST
• Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g. NodeJS, Bash, PHP, Ruby) is a plus
• Experience with PHP and MVC frameworks is a plus
• Understanding of NodeJS and the http library is a plus
