Job Title: Preventive Maintenance Technician
Department: Engineering
Reports To: Engineering Manager
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Perform a wide variety of repairs, service, and preventive maintenance on all public buildings:
- Painting, caulking, patching, sealing, knock down, orange peel
- Plumbing and electrical trouble shooting and minor repair
- Pest control application and/or removal
- Power wash outside common areas, sidewalks and buildings
- Maintain lighting within all buildings
- Minor cleaning in prep of areas to be maintained
- Identify and provide solutions for safety issues
- Perform basic inspection of elevators and doors
- Provide back up support, when needed to Maintenance Technicians
PHYSICAL DEMANDS BEYOND NORMAL OFFICE ENVIRONMENT:
- Consistently lift 75 lbs., unaided
- Ability to work in small, confined, poorly lit, or unconditioned spaces or environment
- Ability to adapt to a flexible schedule to include rotating shifts, nights, weekends, holidays, and/or extended hours of work
QUALIFICATIONS AND SPECIFIC SKILLS:
- Ability to trouble shoot plumbing and electrical issues
- Must possess reasonable decision-making ability and be extremely safety oriented
- Quality oriented
- Good communication skills
- High degree of integrity and motivation
- Must be able to speak, read and write English
- Ability to safely drive battery-operated carts
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- High school diploma required; related courses and/or vocational training is preferred
- Minimum of two to three years of related experience is required; previous hospitality experience is preferred
