Training Coordinator

The Nautique Boat Company has an immediate opening for a Training Coordinator. Nautique is a recognized leader in the ski and wakeboard boating industry.  We are looking for a highly motivated Training Coordinator to be part of the Human Resources team serving our 550-person manufacturing team in East Orlando.

PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:

The position involves the planning, implementation and maintenance of a training program to support career paths that will develop and engage employees.

We are looking for a fun loving, Training Expert for our team! The ideal candidate is a self-starter who loves to work with employees and enjoys building something from the ground up. With your stellar organizational skills, you will represent the Nautique team as we develop new training programs to support employee career paths and help us prepare our growing workforce for advancement opportunities. The qualified candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in HR, Education or Business Admin, or equivalent combination of experience and education. You must have a minimum of 5 years of Training experience. The ideal candidate will have excellent writing and communication skills.  He or She will be highly organized, a good multi-tasker, empathetic, and have a keen awareness about the importance of fair judgment and confidentiality. The position will also require experience creating reports from various systems.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Designs curriculum for manufacturing training programs.
• Designs, develops, and maintains training documentation. Monitors feedback and development efforts to facilitate program improvements.
• Manages the project including timelines, budget, and the development of content and benchmarking criteria.
• Consults with departments to analyze business processes and identify training needs.
• Confers with management to gain knowledge and identify work situations requiring preventive or remedial training for employees.
• Evaluates emerging training techniques and tools.
• Plans, coordinates and conducts general and specialized employee training, educational and development programs.
• Organizes and develops training manuals, reference library, testing and evaluation procedures, multimedia visual aids and other educational materials.
• Implements a system and procedures for documenting training and employee progress.
• Help employees improve upon or enhance existing skills.
• Develop programs that groom entry-level employees for leadership positions.
• Establish metrics to evaluate training effectiveness.
• Actively participates with the entire Nautique Team to support strategic plans and implement initiatives.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Education or Business field. Master’s level preferred.
• 2+ years in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience must include creating documentation and conducting training for a multi-generational workforce.
• Project Management Experience in developing and implementing training programs to meet organizational objectives.
• Proven ability to effectively lead and direct the work of others, and delegate as needed.
• Good verbal communication skills to communicate effectively and productively to all levels of personnel in the plant. ***Bilingual preferred***
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of employee information. This includes, but is not limited to: performance, illness, investigations and personal information.
