The role of a Restaurant Server is to understand Drive Shack’s full food and beverage offerings, as well as provide friendly, knowledgeable service and options regarding the menu.
THE ROLE
• Ensure that guests receive immediate, friendly, and personalized service
• Follow all safe work practices and requirements; immediately inform your supervisor if you see a hazard
• Establish rapport with Drive Shack guests and promote prompt, courteous, efficient guest services
• Present the menu and provide detailed information in regard to ingredients, allergy information, and options available
• Communicate the correct order details to the kitchen, and ensure prompt delivery and continued service throughout the duration of the guest’s stay
• Act as final check on the quality of food and beverage items, and collect on all payments due
• Prepare/reset sections and work stations to a like new environment including but not limited to bussing/pre-bussing tables, wiping down seats and tables, restocking needed utensils, sweeping floors, etc.
• See that work is carried out in a way that minimizes risks to health and safety of both employees and guests as well as ensure compliance with sanitation and safety regulations
• Perform other duties as requested by management
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced, high energy environment
• Work schedule varies and will include working on days, nights, holidays, and weekends and requires standing and/or walking for extended periods
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from peer groups or managers, as well as guests
• Must be able to regularly lift and or move up to 30 pounds and use force of up to 50 pounds
• Strong understanding of food and alcohol safety regulations
• Must be of legal age to serve alcohol in the state of Florida
• One or more years of experience working as a food and beverage server
• Experience with a cash-register/point of sale system
• Food safety training/alcohol awareness training is preferred
