Rollins College is seeking an experienced Network Engineer to support the LAN/WAN environment and related network services (i.e. NAC, Radius, monitoring software, etc.) for the campus. You will be responsible for daily maintenance and problem resolution, operating system patches, software upgrades and routine hardware configuration, as well as providing Tier 3 support for the Help Desk on network-related support tickets.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems or other IT related discipline
  • Cisco CCNA / CCNP certification or 2+ years in network administration preferred
  • Demonstrated expertise in an environment that hosts physical/virtual Microsoft and Linux systems, Windows, Mac OS, Unix/Linux, Apple IOS, and Android end-user devices; Higher Education environment preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and administer a 2000+ node network, including firewalls, VPN, NAC, Cisco switches/routers/wireless access points/controllers and VoIP
  • Thorough understanding of the OSI network model, Ethernet and TCP/IP networking
  • Experience implementing and administrating advanced wired and wireless network concepts, including NAT, Vlans, VRF, QoS and 802.1x
  • Working knowledge of common network monitoring and security utilities
  • Extensive troubleshooting skills focused on determining hardware vs. software, hardware vs. firmware, software vs. operating system, network vs. application/systems and patterned vs. non-repeatable problems
