Overview:
The Economic Development Director designs and implements marketing and outreach programs to attract, retain and grow business, industry and jobs in the City of Clermont. This position serves as the director for the Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA):
- Assesses the needs of the business community and introduces innovative programs and proactive solutions to produce effective economic development results.
- Establishes policies and programs that aid in the retention, success and expansion of existing businesses.
- Assesses and promotes successful downtown sustainability, redevelopment and growth.
- Develops opportunities to enhance tourism as an opportunity for economic growth, and is responsible for maintaining a high level of communication and key partner relationships at the state, regional, and local level.
Required Skills:
- Eight (8) years of progressively responsible related experience, including but not limited to economic development, business relations, and/or marketing.
- Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, Marketing or a closely related field.
