Encore Resort, NDM Hospitality has an immediate opening for a highly-motivated, enthusiastic, and detail-oriented individual to sell a large Resort Destination in Kissimmee Florida. This unique individual must possess excellent organizational and communication skills, be aggressive in targeting new business, and exceed established goals for their market segment. This Sales Manager will be responsible for actively strategizing and closing on each business opportunities to maximize revenue.

Detailed Description of Sales Responsibilities:
 

  • Responsible for a Destination Hotel - Resort within the given market segment, cross-selling to other hotels within company portfolio when appropriate.
  • Build and strengthen relationships with existing and new customers to enable future bookings via outside calls, solicitations, cold calls, appointments, and site visits.
  • Responds in a timely manner to incoming group opportunities for business via phone and Internet
  • Ensures business booked is within hotel parameters
  • Processes all business correspondence within acceptable time limits. Creates proposals, contracts and other related booking documentation as required. Manages and maintains account files.
  • Understand the overall market for each hotel, competitors' strengths and weaknesses, economic trends, supply and demand, etc. and know how to sell against your competition.
  • Closes the best opportunities based on market conditions and individual property needs.
  • Uses negotiating skills and creative selling abilities to close on business and negotiate contracts.
  • Develop and maintain good relationships with officials and representatives of local community groups such as the CVB and Chamber of Commerce
  • Represent the company at out-of-town conventions and trade shows to promote new business, increase sales, and build awareness of the portfolio.
  • Run weekly and monthly reports as required
  • Manages time appropriately between the Northeast Sales Office, visits to the hotels, and outside sales calls
  • Effectively uses sales resources and administrative/support staff.  Serves as a sales leader in the office to assist in development and training of administrative and entry level sales managers.
  • Qualified candidates must meet the following criteria:

  • 3-5 years of successful experience in proactive hotel group sales and the ability to effectively close business
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong customer service and problem solving skills
  • Professional demeanor
  • Excellent listening skills
  • Exceptional detail in follow-up.
  • Manages time effectively
  • Strong qualifying and closing skills
  • Enjoy a team sales approach
  • Strong computer skills; CI/TY and Delphi experience preferred
  • Must be willing to travel to the hotels on a weekly basis, some overnight stays required.
  • Education Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Hospitality degree beneficial
