HR Manager

With a 40+ year proud heritage of delivering compassionate patient care and trusted, high-quality, comprehensive orthopaedic services, our highly-regarded and growing medical practice, Orlando Orthopaedic Center, seeks a talented HR Manager to lead employee development. We have a strong culture rooted in trust, open communication, excellence, and respect, and we make it a point to use good judgment, fairness, and common sense to meet our challenges. We view our human resources as critical to the success of our overall business strategy and currently seek a talented Human Resources Manager to lead employee development throughout our multi-location practice.

The highly qualified individual we seek will join our management team in leading our practice’s strategic growth.  Responsibilities include: people and organizational development for a team of 270+ employees at 9 locations throughout Central Florida; policy development, implementation, and enforcement; talent acquisition and staffing; performance management; training and employee development program design and delivery; compensation and benefits administration; employee relations; recordkeeping; and regulatory compliance. Position reports to the Director of Finance and has one direct report.

In addition to classic HR skills such as knowledge of state/federal employment regulations and HR best practices, ability to maintain confidentiality, ability to build rapport, excellent verbal and written communication skills, analytical ability, and professionalism, we seek an HR Manager who can function independently as a “hands-on” proactive leader in an entrepreneurial environment while building strong, trusting, cross-functional relationships with employees and management colleagues.  The HR Manager must be diplomatic, solutions-oriented, flexible, assertive (in a pleasing way!), well-respected, and able to effectively work in a culture where attention to detail, good judgment, and professionalism are valued. He/she must exhibit integrity and must have excellent organizational, follow-up, and problem-solving skills. The right individual will also have the ability to effectively balance strategic and tactical HR initiatives, along with business acumen, a collaborative style, and consensus-building skills. Strong computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office applications required.

A minimum of 10 years’ experience in human resources is required, with at least 7 years of proven successful experience in an HR management position at a privately held, small- to medium-sized organization.  Prior development of an HR function preferred. Prior HR experience in a growing, multi-location medical practice or professional services firm preferred. BA/BS in Human Resources, Business, Organizational Development, or a related field required.  HR certification preferred.  Valid driver’s license required. Position is located in downtown Orlando; however, travel throughout Central Florida is required.

A salary commensurate with experience and credentials will be accompanied by an attractive and comprehensive benefits package.

If you want to join an organization you can be proud of, we’d like to talk to you!  For confidential consideration, email your resume, a letter of interest (important!), and your compensation history to our consultants at hrsearch@seawright.com.  No phone calls or recruiters please.  We invite you to visit us at www.orlandoortho.com

At Orlando Orthopaedic Center, equal talent will always get equal opportunity.
