Metal Fabrication Manufacturer is seeking a Programmer.

Will convert 2d drawings provided by Engineering depart to programs that machine tools can understand to produce parts. Will be responsible to meet and exceed standards set by Estimating department while utilizing equipment to its fullest capabilities

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Validating that the program processes through the machine tool with desired quality and safety to equipment.

• Read blueprints to determine characteristics required to program.

• Develop machine tool programs from provided files to run on the designated machine tools;  Laser, Press Brake and Punch Press.

• Programming Trumpf Punch and Mitsubishi Lasers

• Verify the existence or need for the tooling associated with running the parts as a result of the program.

• Assist machine tool operators in clarification of programs and to operate machine tools when required.

• Assist the Cell Leader with production when called upon,  and with the introduction of Continuous Improvement ideas.

• Must be able to lift 50 pounds

• Knows what the Company Quality Policy and Quality Objectives mean to them and their role associated with the achievement of these objectives.

REQUIREMENTS

Education: High school diploma / GED

Experience: 1 year programming experience recommended but not required

Computer Skills: CAD, Excel

WORK ENVIRONMENT

50% office 50% shop floor

Salary: $14.00-$20.00 (based on experience)                       

Shift: 1st 6:00am-2:30pm & 2nd 2:30pm-10:00pm

Term: Fulltime to Hire
