Type of Full-time Hours: 40 /week Non-Exempt MAJOR FUNCTIONS This is highly responsible, technical work involved in procurement, contract administration and bid solicitations for City departments.

Work is performed under the general supervision of the Purchasing Manager.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

Acts as contract administrator for various City contracts.

Duties include resolving contractual issues, contract renewals, and reconciling invoices.

Confirms pricing for all office supplies with several contracted vendors; maintains and issues various credit cards held by the City; and, issues and reconciles the departmental petty cash funds.

Assists the Purchasing Manager in writing, formatting and posting bid specifications, RFPs, and associated documents and addenda, and maintains all bid files.

Responsible for data entry of all warehouse receipts; and, provides back-up support to the Materials Specialist in issuing warehouse stock and accepting deliveries.

Assists employees in using the City's procurement program; and, assists vendors with the City's notification system for bids.

Performs related work as required.

KNOWLEDGE, ABILITIES AND SKILLS Knowledge of the general practices involved in purchasing and basic accounting.

Ability to develop and maintain working relationships with other departments.

Ability to carry out oral and written instructions and to manage routine operations.

MINIMUM Graduation from high school or equivalent.

Three (3) years of general office experience and Word and Excel proficiency is required.

Must possess and maintain a valid-insurable Florida Driver's License.
