The ideal candidate for Junior Accountant / AP Coordinator will be a diligent and detail oriented individual that can work well with little guidance beyond initial training.

The candidate should have a minimum of an Associates Degree (Bachelors degree preferred) in Accounting and a minimum of 2 plus years of professional experience in accounts payable and/or accounts receivable.

The candidate must be very accurate, timely and detail oriented.

Candidates must take a proactive approach to problem solving and be able to communicate effectively with vendors and internal management.

ResponsibilitiesProcessing and coding A/P invoices, processing check runs for multi companies.

Posting entries to the general ledgerReviewing and processing expense reportsCorporate credit card postings and reconciliations.

Process cash receipts from clients and prepare deposits for bank runs.

Provides financial status information by preparing ad hoc financial reports; completing special projectsFixed assets scheduleIntercompany transaction postings.

Vendor statement reconciliationsBank reconciliationsProject based accounting schedules review.

Assist Controller with year-end closings.

All other duties as assignedQualifications2 years of experience in Accounts Receivable and/or Accounts Payable.

Associates degree in Accounting required, Bachelors Degree preferred.

Experience with accounting software, preferably Deltek Vision.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite with demonstrated expertise in Adobe Acrobat, Word and Excel.

Detail oriented with ability to work well with little guidance beyond initial trainingAbility to work in a cultural diverse team environment.

Strong organizational skills.

Ability to work in a culture that promotes collaboration and teamwork.

Account Reconciliations experience.

Ability to work well under pressure, juggle and prioritize multiple projects and adjust work accordingly, often against tight deadlines.

Must be quality minded and self-motivated.
