Job Title: TeleSales Agent/Agent Trainee

Purpose:
The Sales Agent works with customers over the phone to determine which health insurance product they want, then match the products to their needs and complete the application for insurance. The agent creates solutions for the customer and ensures a smooth sales process. Sales agents follow up with the customer to close the sale and drive referrals from their customer base. The agent will handle primarily inbound calls with the overarching goal of enrolling the customer into a health plan. Outbound calls will also need to be made to either chase, follow up and close the sale and also call on marketing campaigns to convert leads into sales opportunities.

Sales Agent Trainees will be responsible for obtaining a 2-40 Health Insurance license prior to the start of product training (PAID). The trainee must attend a mandated State training curriculum and pass all the requirements to become licensed agent (State Exam and legal checks from the state) (PAID). Once licensed, the agent will be responsible for all tasks mentioned above for Sales Agents.

Job responsibilities:
• Sell health insurance products to individual Under 65 and/or Over 65 consumers in a call center environment.
• Support both inbound (90%) and outbound calls to Consumer prospects through market driven and marketing campaigns.
• Ensure all customers are warmly greeted via Branded call opening, their needs are assessed quickly and they are referred to the appropriate setting, person, information or tools to address their needs.
• Analyze customer needs and match to appropriate insurance product solutions.
• Present and explain recommended product solutions, including benefits, features, company services, operation processes; present alternatives as appropriate.
• Facilitate application process; advise customers of eligibility and follow established procedures to adhere to department and federal guidelines.
• Promote and facilitate APO (Automated Payment Options) enrollment and set up.
• Review with and deliver product fulfillment materials to customers.
• Maintain inbound availability to support telephone service levels and customer satisfaction.
• Adhere to call scripts and sales processes including documentation in contact management system. Ensure all compliance regulations are met.
• Achieve or exceed sales quotas across product lines using acquired product knowledge and selling skills.

Training Periods:

**Perfect attendance is REQUIRED during ALL License Training and Product Training periods**

• License Training and Product Training are typically Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm, at the discretion of leadership
Licensing Training: 3 weeks prior to start date
Product Training: 2-4 weeks depending on product
 

Shift Hours:
• MUST be flexible to work any shift between the hours of 8:00am to 11:00pm; Monday - Sunday
• Majority of shifts during the OEP will be non-typical hours

• Every agent is required to work at least 1 weekend shift per week
 

Licensed Agent Pay:

• $15.64/hour PLUS BONUS/COMMISSION!

• $16.00/hr Bilingual (English/Spanish)

• $19.00/hr Bilingual (English Cantonese)


Trainee Pay:
• $8.25/hour during training & licensing period (3 weeks)
• $15.00/hour (once license is earned) PLUS BONUS/COMMISSION!

• $15.50/hr Bilingual (English/Spanish)

• $19.00/hr Bilingual (English/Cantonese)
 

Requirements:

Trainee:

• Attend 40 hour pre-licensing class (PAID)
• Commit to 2-3 weeks of on-site study and passing the state exam (PAID)
• Obtaining 2-40 licenses prior to the start of product training. - Requirement for assignment (PAID)

Agent & Trainee:
• Active Florida state health insurance license 2-15 Health, Life and Variable Annuities or 2-40 Florida state health insurance license.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including well developed interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated time management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Experience working independently and as part of a team
• Experience using computers and navigating among multiple systems and screens.
• Typing skills.
• Experience with listening and relating key information to comparable selling situations to apply appropriate responses and actions.
• 100% adherence to assigned schedule during the open enrollment season
• Flexibility to work 8 hour shifts within the Call Center operating hours of Monday through Sunday from 8:00am to 12:00am (or as business demands) during open enrollment (October - December). All shifts will include evenings, nights and/or weekends.
• Minimum of a High School diploma

• MUST be able to pass Full Panel Drug Test, FULL Background check, and Credit Check

Preferred:
• Call Center Experience is preferred

• Work experience in a sales positions where sales skills were demonstrated
