HVAC/Refrigeration Technician

Requirements and Competencies

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent
• Must have technical trade school or equivalent experience with an emphasis on HVAC/Refrigeration
• Must have at least 2 years of practical HVAC/Refrigeration experience or combination of HVAC/Refrigeration experience & trade school experience
• Must have EPA Universal level certification
• Must have experience in HVAC Controls
• Must have a valid state driver’s license and be able to obtain a company driver’s license
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds
• Must be able to climb a ladder
• Must be willing to work a flexible schedule that includes weekdays, weekends, evenings, nights, and holidays

Desired Qualifications

• HVAC/Refrigeration controls experience
• VFD knowledge and troubleshooting experience
• HVAC/Refrigeration maintenance of food service equipment
• Experience with Commercial refrigeration
• Mechanical engineering is a plus

Primary Responsibilities

• Repair and perform daily routine inspections of all HVAC/Refrigeration systems in the parks
• Perform field repair of HVAC/Refrigeration systems throughout the parks
• Train in general system operations and functions, as well as procedures and routines
• Complete all scheduled preventive HVAC maintenance
• Complete all required documentation
• Maintain proficiency in all manufacturing manuals related to Park HVAC equipment
• Keep working areas neat, clean, and tidy
• Complete tasks assigned within time constraints implied by park guidelines
• Maintain department standards performance in terms of attendance, performance, acceptance of assignments, and strict adherence to all safety policies and requirements
• Perform other miscellaneous duties as required
