Job Description:

Provide functional support for the development and maintenance of the Human Capital Management System (HCM) and other related systems, ensuring integrity and reliability. Guide users to successfully achieve key business goals through leverage of technological capabilities and best business practices.

Assist in the review, testing and implementation of HR related system upgrades or patches. Provide production support, including researching and resolving HCM problems, unexpected results or process flaws; recommend solutions or alternate methods to meet requirements. Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements. Maintain system tables and security.

Interface with Business Stakeholders to recommend and manage projects/process improvements, including applying change management experience to facilitate movement to new levels of quality. Gather, analyze, and document business requirements to translate into detailed functional specifications for development. Ensure technology solutions align with business needs and strategic goals.

Write and maintain a variety of reports or queries utilizing appropriate reporting tools. Maintain data integrity in systems by running queries and analyzing data. Responsible for providing data for / preparing federal, state and Board of Trustees mandated reports.

Conduct training, including developing and maintaining user procedures, guidelines and documentation. Train clients on new processes/functionality.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree and two years of information technology experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

Candidate will possess good experience as an IT Business Analyst in at least one of these two skill sets:

1) Oracle PeopleSoft Human Resources (HCM), Benefits, Payroll, Recruitment, Training, Talent Management, Organization Development, Self Service, eforms and Time & Labor setup and configuration.

2) SQL, SQR, and PeopleSoft Query and Microsoft Excel.

A minimum of 5 years Oracle PeopleSoft HCM experience is preferred and experience in higher education. HRIS functions include: HCM, Payroll, Time and Labor, Training, Benefits, Position Management, Organization Development, Self Service, Workforce Development, eForms.

Be detail oriented and understand the importance of functional, technical and security requirements.

Possess strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
