Resort Laundry Attendant

We are looking for a positive and energetic Resort Laundry Attendant to be part of the Westgate Leisure Resort family in Orlando FL. As part of the Westgate Team you will be able to enjoy and exciting and rewarding opportunity as you ensure maintenance of a clean, orderly and attractive resort environment.

A charming all-villa resort, Westgate Leisure Resort provides you with a fun and rewarding work environment where you can engage with visitors from around the world as they arrive to visit world-famous theme parks and attractions throughout Central Florida. As part of the Westgate Leisure Resort team, you will help provide guests a home away from home as they enjoy spacious one- and two-bedroom villas, along with a variety of onsite amenities such as two heated outdoor pools, two hot tubs, fitness room, sand volleyball court, game room, playground, horseshoe pit, shuffleboard court, barbecue grills and Mini Market, as well as complimentary scheduled theme park transportation.
 

Responsibilities:

  • Collects all laundry from the entire property for cleaning.
  • Separates laundry by category for assembly following established procedures.
  • Discards stained or damage linen following established procedures.
  • Folds laundry materials by hand and machine such as sheets, pillow cases, wash cloth, towels, blankets and bedspreads.
  • Sorts and counts laundry articles to verify quantity.
  • Feeds linen into flatwork ironer and towel folder in a productive pace.
  • Prepares the linen and supplies for each unit and building for set times, procedures, and delivery.
  • Maintains a clean and safe work environment.
  • Performs other duties as necessary.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedural manuals.
  • Strong time management skills with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
  • Basic understanding and knowledge of mathematical skills
  • Ability to complete tasks individually.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
