Position Summary
The Brand & Communications Specialist is an entry level position. This position is responsible for marketing and communications activities that align with MFRMLS brand standards. The Specialist will increase customer awareness of MFRMLS products, services, news and notifications by delivering relevant, valuable and informative content, often targeted to a specific customer audience. This position will assist with coordinate and manage various events that MFRMLS sponsors. The Specialist’s marketing and communications efforts help drive customer satisfaction and further position MFRMLS as one of the leading MLS companies in the country. This position reports to the Training and Communications Manager and is an hourly, non -exempt position.   Essential Core

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Write and edit marketing and transactional communications, including articles, emails and press releases, about product launches, product updates, company announcements, billing, industry news and other news for external and internal audiences
  • Create and source content that supports marketing and communications efforts, such as guides, infographics, images and videos
  • Manage, coordinate and participate in MFRMLS sponsored events, such as trade shows and association events
  • Source and order promotional items for events and other marketing efforts as needed
  • Help maintain brand integrity for MFRMLS and MFRMLS partner-vendors through consistent use of brand identity, key messaging and other brand standards
  • Create and source content for MFRMLS’ Social Media channels, responding to customers, as needed.
  • Occasional over-time is required
  • Timely and regular attendance is an essential function of the position; being physically present in the work environment is an essential job function

  • Acceptable vision (with or without correction)

  • Bending on occasion
  • Talking for long periods of time, approximately 8-10 hours a day
  • Lifting up to approximately 30 pounds occasionally
  • Sitting for long periods of time approximately, approximately 8-10 hours a day
  • Writing and/or typing for long periods of time, approximately 8-10 hours a day

Education, Certification, and Software

  • BA/BS in a Communications or Marketing field, or equivalent work experience
  • 2-3 years relevant experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, & PowerPoint)
  • Working knowledge of Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator, or other graphics tools preferred
  • Mac experience preferred
