The Embassy Suites Orlando Lake Buena Vista South is seeking a candidate to oversee our energetic Sales department at our beautiful, award-winning 300-suites property with 40K sq. ft. of meeting, pre-function, and unique event space. We are looking for someone with 5+ years of sales and marketing senior leadership experience to include a similar or greater amount of meeting space square footage and focus on group mix.
The candidate will be responsible for leading and directing the development and implementation of strategic sales and marketing plans and initiatives in the hotel's continuing effort to drive top line room and group revenues, convention center revenues to include banquet and catering food and beverage, meeting room rental, audio visual, and internet as well as provide outstanding guest service and financial profitability.
Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:
•Lead and direct the development and implementation of strategic sales and marketing plans and initiatives to include, but not limited to, interacting with clients, directing solicitation efforts, securing business, operating information management systems, preparing and presenting statistical and performance reports and presentations, and managing all financial aspects of the department.
•Partner with the Revenue Management team to include, but not limited to, determining sales pricing strategies, developing rates, establishing group thresholds, determining space utilization policy, deploying competitive data strategies, conducting demand analysis and managing market mix.
•Utilize and apply current technology and systems effectively.
•Monitor and develop sales team member performance to include, but not limited to, providing supervision and professional development, scheduling, conducting counseling and evaluations, and delivering recognition and reward.
•Participate in ownership meetings to include occasional travel.
Previous Hilton or Embassy Suites experience is a strong plus, but not a pre-requisite.
