The Business and Finance Division of Rollins College is seeking an accounting/finance professional to join the team. The Accounting & Budget Manager will manage and track

budgeting and accounting for payroll and related processes. Key areas of focus involve preparing and maintaining budgets and reports for the College’s payroll and fringe costs; developing predictive models of YTD budget to actual analysis and future years’ budgeting needs in terms of salary and fringe benefit budgeting needs; and creating/interpreting financial reports, financial analyses and budget/forecast projections. We will rely on you to plan and coordinate daily operations in the compensation budget unit; plan and prepare work flow charts; and ensure timely reporting of compensation and fringe activities.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; MBA and CPA strongly preferred
  • Minimum of five years of related experience
  • Understanding of accounting principles and theories with strong analytical skills; higher education budgeting, accounting and financial reporting with emphasis on state budgeting rules and regulations preferred
  • Experience writing simple queries
  • Two or more years of substantive functional experience with Banner (or another ERP system) highly desirable
