Position Summary
The System Administrator is responsible for maintenance and administration of information technology resources such as servers, cloud infrastructure, software and computer systems to ensure high levels of availability and security throughout the enterprise. This position interacts with other team members participating in the planning and implementation of policies and procedures to ensure availability, support, and maintenance is consistent with company goals, industry best practices, and regulatory requirements. This position reports the Information Technology Manager and is a salary, exempt, full-time position. Essential Core Competencies This position requires the following competencies:

Essential Skills
- Interacts with team members on support related issues in a technical support role
- Responds to requests from users via telephone, e-mail, walk-ins and chat in a courteous manner, and creates relevant documentation as needed

- Recommends software and hardware improvements, upgrades, patches, reconfigurations, and/or purchases

- Assists with communications (e-mail, IM, etc.) and connection solutions, including workstation connectivity, local area networks, company website, intranet, and Internet applications
- Monitors systems to ensure they have the latest updates and security patches
- Assists in troubleshooting of internal and datacenter network/server issues
- Deploys workstations, servers, printers, scanners, firewalls, encryption systems, and all security systems
- Monitors back-ups of servers and related systems
- Practice network asset management, including maintenance of network component inventory and related documentation and technical specifications information
- Ensures adherence to company I.T. policies and procedures
- Manages end user accounts, permissions, access rights, and storage allocations in accordance with best-practices regarding privacy, security, and regulatory compliance
- On-call for production systems support
- Minimal travel required
- Occasional over-time is required

Other Essential Skills
- Working technical knowledge of networking protocols and standards such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, FTP, SFTP, SSH, Subnetting, VLAN’s, VPN’s (Site-to-Site and client access), QoS, etc.
- Working knowledge of configuring Switches, Routers and Firewalls. Cisco/Meraki desired.
- Office 365 administration (Exchange Online, Azure Active Directory, AAD Connect)
- Hands-on experience administering Active Directory (ADFS, ADDS, Sites/Services, Group Policies, DNS, DHCP, etc.)
- Working knowledge of cloud services and virtualization technologies and such as VMWare vSphere, vCloud Director, Azure, AWS, etc.
- Microsoft SQL abilities (Writing queries, views, stored procedures, SSIS, etc.).
- Working knowledge of creating, modifying and deploying scripts through PowerShell and/or VBScript or other scripting tools.
- Experience with Microsoft Windows Server operating systems 2003-2016.
- Managing File and Print Servers and services
- Working with web servers – IIS, Apache/LAMP Stack, Basic HTML/PHP, working with SSL certificates, load balancers, security, performance, caching – familiarity with services like Imperva, F5, Cloudflare, etc.

Education, Certifications, and Software
- College diploma or university degree in the field of computer science or information technology and/or at least 2 years’ equivalent work experience
- Industry certifications (i.e. CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+, MCITP, CCNA) are desirable
