Job Title: Maintenance Technician
Department: Engineering
Reports To: Chief Engineer and Engineering Manager
OVERVIEW/POSITION PURPOSE:
This position responds to requests, problems, issues and equipment failures that will vary greatly in nature, but require immediate attention and swift and effective resolution.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Monitors work orders throughout the shift through the HotSOS work order system either via phone or terminal access
- Performs the work required for each work order accepted and makes follow up notes in the HotSOS system
- Performs handyman work and general household repair work such as, but not limited to; plumbing, painting, wood work, sheet rock work, caulking, carpentry, minor electrical repairs, minor HVAC repairs, and pest control/removal
- Performs other duties as assigned. These duties may include opening and closing venues, working on specifically assigned projects, participating with and or leading Volunteer groups, etc.
- Flexible schedule to include rotating schedules, nights, weekends and/or extended hours of work
- Adherence to attendance standard
PHYSICAL DEMANDS BEYOND NORMAL OFFICE ENVIRONMENT:
- Frequently required to stand for extended periods of time, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle feel, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl and talk and hear
- Ability to work outside for extended periods in varied outdoor conditions
- Work is performed in both noisy and quiet conditions
- Requires specific vision abilities, which include; close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus
- Regularly exposed to moving parts
QUALIFICATIONS AND SPECIFIC SKILLS:
- Ability to safely set up and operate machine tools
- Ability to effectively use measuring instruments
- Ability to spec parts for replacement
- Must possess a wide range of skills related to handyman type work, which include inspecting, assessing, making repairs, installing and replacing defective or non-working parts
- Must be able to speak, read and write English in order to take radio calls
- Ability to safely drive motorized vehicles, including battery-operated carts
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- High School Diploma
- Minimum of two to three years of related experience
- Previous hospitality experience is preferred
