Position Summary
The Project Coordinator is core to MFR success and growth. The position requires minimal supervision but seeks guidance of manager or other senior management for complex decisions that may affect multiple customers or products. Nearly all internal initiatives, process improvements, product configuration and new product launches are managed as projects. The role of Project Coordinator is to take proposed initiatives and upcoming product implementations/configurations from inception to closing by utilizing standard project management principles, tools and methodologies.  

The Project Coordinator interfaces with every department and senior management to obtain requirements, resources and change authorizations as well as present status updates and emerging issues during the project management lifecycle. Additional duties may include basic system administration for Matrix (MFR core product) and other MLS systems as applicable as well as vendor management for auxiliary products and services.  This position reports to the Director of MLS Services and is an hourly, non-exempt, full-time position.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities
•    Meeting with the project sponsor or manager to understand all vital aspects of the particular project
•    Ensuring that all team members understand the scope of the project as well as what they are individually responsible for
•    Making schedules of what needs to be completed by what date, as well as of team meetings and coordinating the same with other members
•    Compiling and maintaining interim project reports and minutes of meetings  
•    Communicating relevant information to all team members, such as change in schedule dates, changes in the project’s requirements, risk/opportunity management etc.
•    Coordinating activities with vendors and suppliers and maintaining relationships with them
•    Assisting the project manager in various activities such as process improvement and identifying efficiencies in daily tasks
•    Accomplishes work requirements by orienting and training other department resources on upcoming products, changes and ongoing initiatives as well as assigning, scheduling and tracking other department resource tasks
•    Meets work standards by following production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolving operational problems; identifying work process improvements
•    Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications and keeping up to date with the project management profession
•    Enhances department and organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
•    Must record all hours worked. If overtime is ever worked (over 40 hours) advanced approval is required from the department manager
•    Timely and regular attendance is an essential function of the position; being physically present in the work environment is an essential job function

•    Experience using word processing programs and spreadsheets

•    Acceptable vision (with or without correction)

•    Bending on occasion
•    Talking for long periods of time, approximately 8-10 hours a day
•    Lifting up to approximately 10 pounds occasionally

Education, Certifications, and Software
•    Minimum Associates Degree OR 3 years’ experience in a similar role
•    Prefer Certified Associate in Project Management
•    Ability to learn scheduling software and PPM applications
