Commercial Insurance Placement Specialist

Primary Responsibilities and Duties:
New Business Marketing:
- Support the sales team by taking the loss runs, prior policy information, and exposures from the producer to create the SOV, ACORDs, and supplemental applications.
- Fully market each new condo and hotel account.
- Notify the producer of underwriting issues after attempting to work through the issue.
- Create a proposal for each account.
- Present the proposal to the producer.
- Maintain agency management system with proper documentation, notes, and activities.
- Provide training to the team on market changes as they arise.
- Perform other miscellaneous duties as assigned by the agency with efficiency and quality.
Renewals:
- Fully re-market the hospitality book, as outlined above, and answer questions from account managers on condo renewals regarding carriers and underwriting.
- Support the account executive or account managers on renewals when needed due to vacations or an influx of renewals.
- Review the account manager’s handling of condo renewals (once fully onboarded).
Personal/Organizational Development:
- Set priorities and workflows to ensure timely, efficient, and accurate handling of submissions and other responsibilities.
- Develop strong and positive relationships with all carriers.
- Continue to be informed on industry changes, carrier updates, and technology.
- Maintain good communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with carriers, clients, and colleagues.
- Maintain current and proper insurance licensing.
- Actively pursue expertise in the agency management system, Applied Epic.

Qualifications and Education Requirements:
- An active 2-20 (also having a 2-15 is a plus)
- Current on all continuing education (CE) requirements to maintain license (ongoing)
- 2+ years of commercial marketing experience, preferably with extensive experience with condominiums and/or hospitality
- PC proficiency, including MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
- High School Diploma (or equivalent)
