About the City The City of Casselberry offers many challenging and fulfilling career opportunities. We have almost 195 full-time and 24 part-time and seasonal employees that work in a variety of positions, including public safety, information technology, community development, parks and recreation, public works, administration and finance. The City of Casselberry employees are civil service employees. Recruitment, testing and employment are governed by the City's Code of Ordinances, Chapter 62. The Civil Service Board is composed of five members appointed by the City Manager with the approval of the City Commission. The Personnel Department manages the City's programs for recruitment, testing, employment, compensation, benefits, health and safety, training and development, collective bargaining and labor-management relations, classification, placement and records. There are 124 different classifications within eight departments. The City hires professional, sworn officer, clerical, technical, service and managerial staff. Our employees work to provide support and high quality service to the citizens and businesses of Casselberry.
