Job Title:                   Digital and Virtual Fundraising Manager

Department:           Development

Reports To:              Director of Development

OVERVIEW AND PURPOSE:

The Manager of Digital and Virtual Fundraising is responsible for maximizing technology and virtual campaigns in order to increase fundraising, create new revenue streams and drive additional awareness for Give Kids The World. The Manager of Digital and Virtual Fundraising must be able to work closely with other team members, including Marketing to strategically plan and implement digital and virtual fundraising, while managing a portfolio of $1 million in revenue

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Fundraising

  • Manage digital and virtual fundraising including but not limited to; online, mobile, click to give, crowdfunding and online charity auctions
  • Manage individual and group fundraisers with new and existing partners that align with the strategic plan, prioritize work to meet all deadlines while being adaptable and responsive to change
  • Represent Give Kids The World as an official spokesperson at tradeshows, presentations, and awareness functions on Village property as well as externally in the community and nationally
  • Make periodic visits, explore specific needs, and resolve problems in order to build and maintain constituent relationships while acknowledging, stewarding and growing fundraising resources

Special Projects

  • Responsible for Give Kids The World Paver Program. Collection of orders, communication with purchaser, work with engraver to schedule monthly orders, schedule installation with engineering and email pictures of pavers to purchasers
  • Plan and co-manage the annual End of Year campaign and new Founders Day initiative

Business and Fiscal Responsibilities

  • Managing a portfolio of $1 million in revenue
  • Prepare meeting agendas, recaps and budgets, while controlling expenses of events
  • Manage in-kind and sponsorship solicitations as it relates to third party, digital and virtual fundraising
  • Prepare and disseminate weekly reports highlighting action plan progress, new objectives, and fundraising tactics at development meeting and via weekly email

Third Party Fundraisers

  • Manage third party fundraisers and relationships with event leads
  • Manage external fundraising inquiries

All other duties as assigned.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS OUTSIDE NORMAL WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Ability to travel locally and nationally. Some overnight travel necessary
  • Ability to lift and transfer 25 lbs.
  • Ability to work some evenings and weekends on and off property

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, COMPETENCIES, EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • Ability to create and manage digital and virtual campaigns using a range of online tools, including but not limited to: Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, InstaGram and Snapchat
  • Ability to develop a variety of written materials in a clear, concise and compelling manner to promote digital and virtual fundraising
  • Ability to interact confidently with multiple levels in the organization
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain multiple priorities and ability to adapt quickly and easily to a changing environment.
  • Current knowledge of Microsoft Office, SalesForce and Teamraiser
  • Proven track record of success increasing financial results and building upon relationships
  • Work independently and take initiative to creatively and effectively solve problems
  • Experience with Salesforce and online fundraising software, Teamraiser
  • Strong administrative skills
  • Ability to anticipate and satisfy customer needs through excellent customer service
  • Self-starter who is results oriented
  • Ability to lead, direct and inspire colleagues, sponsors, and volunteers
  • Superior oral and presentation skills
  • Ability to operate a motorized vehicle, including battery-operated golf cart
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent relevant experience
  • At least 3+ years of digital, virtual and mobile fundraising
  • Non-profit experience is preferred
