We are looking for a Quality Assurance Manager with experience in both waterfall and agile software development. A candidate for this role must be a self-starter who can manage and prioritize multiple work streams, possess excellent communication and analytical skills, and have a willingness to self-train. Success in this position hinges on self-motivation, attention to detail, and a strong sense of ownership. The candidate must thrive in a fast-paced environment and be able to work on a rapidly growing and complex platform.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Manage a team of 6-10 manual quality assurance engineers. Coach, mentor, and develop the manual QA team, including hiring, overseeing new employee onboarding, and providing career development
  • Oversee the QA processes and activity for monthly maintenance releases and emergency changes
  • Oversee the QA processes and activity for ancillary projects outside of Alegeus’ core development cycle
  • Coordinate with offshore team management and resources
  • Coordinate with the automation team to develop and prioritize new automation tests
  • Assist in triage, investigation, resolution, and verification of product issues
  • Collaborate with other business groups including Software Development, Product, and Service Delivery

 

Qualifications:

  • Well organized and able to handle multiple assignments and responsibilities with a strong sense of ownership
  • Highly adaptable, with ability to rapidly assimilate new information, translating into team and project implications
  • Experience writing and executing test plans
  • Self-motivated and able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong interpersonal skills to manage relationships successfully in a cross-functional team environment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience in an Agile and Waterfall technology environment
  • 1-3 years professional business experience strongly preferred
