Metal Spray Painter
An established Central Florida company specializing in working with the Dept of Defense and disaster relief organizations. We are searching for high-energy, hard-working, experienced Spray Painter with a minimum of 2 years’ experience. This position will work inside out air-conditioned facility in Sanford, FL. As a team member, you need to be able to read prints to ensure the paint color, thickness, and application are done right the first time. You must be willing to clean and maintain the equipment as well as your work area and make minor repairs as necessary. This position may be physically challenging, requiring upper body strength and stamina.
Qualifications, skills, and education:
2 or more years of Paint or Powder Coating experience
Regular attendance at work and punctuality are essential
Excellent communication skills and enthusiasm - required.
Ability to deal with stress and get along with co-workers and supervisors.
Communicate effectively with supervisors and co-workers.
High School Diploma or GED
Previous experience in manufacturing
Must be able to pass a drug screen
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Prep surfaces for paint (sand, mud work, bondo, blem etc...)
• Paint in a timely manner
• Applicant must have a commitment to quality while constantly working to eliminate any rework.
• Coordinate with other departments
• Maintain a steady flow of work with minimal stops without sacrificing quality
• Visually inspect all product entering the paint area to ensure the product is properly prepped and ready to paint
• Study the prints/work orders to make sure you apply the proper color using the proper application.
• Apply consistent mil thicknesses on varying product
• Maintain equipment and keep the work area clean and organized.
• Present a smooth, eye-catching finished product.
Work Environment:
This job is in an air-conditioned manufacturing environment. The successful candidate must be willing to work overtime. The noise level may be high at times. Repetitive use of hands for simple grasping, pushing, pulling and fine manipulation. Frequent standing, bending, walking, kneeling, squatting and twisting
Hours; 9:00 - 6:00
