  • High school graduate or equivalent. Ability to quickly and accurately type and process calls for service. Working knowledge of word processing software, preferably Microsoft Office-based products, and Computer Aided Dispatch System.


  • None.


  • One (1) year experience in a business office setting with telephone responsibility or PBX/Telephone operator and/or public safety type communications experience on multi-channel radio required.

Essential Functions

  • Answers a high volume of emergency and routine calls for service accurately and professionally.
  • Monitors burglary, panic, and fire alarm systems 24 hours a day.
  • Obtains pertinent information from callers ensuring a safe, timely, and professional response of field resources.
  • Operates and maintains a specialized computer system for rapid entry and processing of all calls for service.
  • Records and updates sensitive information on persons and security alarm systems.
