Lakeland Regional Health’s ICU nurses primarily treat patients from Polk, Highlands, and Hardee counties while also covering the surrounding areas. LRH has a department for any ICU interest that a nurse may have, from the Surgical Intensive Care Unit to the Prenatal Intensive Care Unit. Registered Nurses – Cath Lab

Lakeland, Florida

CATH LAB RN (RN’s must have 1.5 year CC/ED experience/Cath Lab experience)

  • 4 Cath Labs
  • 18-25 cases daily
  • Shifts are 4 10’s with rotating days off 0700-1730
  • 4 day weekend every 5th week (flexible days off)
  • Call:
  • Must live within 30 minutes of LRH
  • 1 late day per week (stays after 1730)
  • 1 STEMI call per week
  • Every 7th weekend carry beeper for call entire weekend (when fully staffed)
    • Plus one elective case SaturdaY
  • 3 month long orientation

The Cath Lab Registered Nurse (RN) will promote relationship-centered care that appreciates vulnerability of patients, anticipates needs, and incorporates the patient as a full partner in care. 

Additional responsibilities include:

  • Will deliver high quality care based on therapeutic caring relationships that are individualized to the patients and their families' needs and values.
  • Will practice competently and uphold the standards of nursing practice to promote positive patient outcomes.
  • Will assure proactive, protective, and safe practice resulting in the elimination of all preventable harm.
  • Will adhere to organizational policies and procedures; regulatory accrediting body requirements and professional practice standards.
  • Practice the scope and standards of nursing care including assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
  • Demonstrates scope and standards of professional performance including quality of professional practice, evaluation of practice, lifelong learning, collegiality, ethics, collaboration, clinical inquiry, resource utilization, and leadership 

Qualifications and Experience:

Experience:

  • RN’s must have 1.5 year CC/ED experience/Cath Lab experience

License:

  • Current license as Registered Nurse in Florida. Certifications Essential: BLS
