Teacher Assistant

  • Conduct individual and/or group teaching sessions.
  • Collect data for both acquisition and deceleration programs.
  • Manage children who are assigned and ensure their safety.
  • Implement emergency procedures for problem behavior as needed.
  • Communicate with parents about their child's progress and other issues.
  • Assist in developing teaching materials that are up-to-date with current technologies in the field.
  • Graph all data as assigned.
  • Assist in designing data sheets and graphs.
  • Provide input for programmatic decisions.
  • Attend all weekly staff meetings.
  • Attend IEP meetings and provide input as necessary.
  • Assist in ensuring cleanliness and orderliness of the QKA classrooms.
  • Ensure compliance with any and all regulations pertaining to behavioral programming and to Quest's personnel policies.
  • Perform all other duties as required

  • Clearly and consistently, deliver verbal commands in English

Qualifications

  • Education/Training (including vocation, Jr. College, etc.)
  • A./60+ credits of general studies towards degree in Psychology or related field
  • Experience in developing and implementing behavioral programs with developmentally disabled individuals preferred
  • Experience/licenses/certifications needed. If experience can be substituted for education, please specify number of years and type:
  • Eligible to legally work in the United States.
  • Be at least 18 years of age.
  • Successfully complete a background check and drug screen.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English.
  • Ability to thrive in a team environment.
  • Ability to provide proof of educational achievement or required certifications such as a high school diploma, GED, college degree, advanced degree, or medical credentials
