Coordinator, Marketing/Media Buyer

Seminole State College of Florida has a great opportunity to join our team of diverse faculty and staff as a Marketing Coordinator/Media Buyer.

What does this position do?

Develops and conducts marketing, advertising and promotional projects and activities to increase brand awareness, recruitment, and retention for the College. Collaborates with college employees, external agencies, and media outlets to research, negotiate, develop, and implement integrated marketing and advertising campaigns across a wide range of physical and digital platforms and media. Evaluates and reports on campaign results and adjusts strategies to be optimally effective

What experience and skills are needed for this role?

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, or a related field from an accredited institution.
2. Three years of full-time experience in marketing, advertising, and communications.
3. Three years of agency or account management experience including buying traditional and digital media.


DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Experience in creating and executing marketing projects and campaigns.
2. Experience in trafficking advertising campaigns.
3. Experience in advertising copywriting.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
1. Demonstrated skill in developing and executing marketing programs.
2. Demonstrated skill in managing advertising and promotional campaigns, including social media management and advertising (e.g. Facebook, Instagram).
3. Demonstrated ability to produce creative and conceptual assignments.
4. Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Photoshop, Acrobat).
5. Skill in working with social media programs and content management systems.
6. Ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, team environment.
7. Demonstrated critical thinking, ability to deal with ambiguity, resolve complex problems and effectively manage projects.
8. Ability to treat confidential information with sensitivity.
9. Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills in both individual and group settings.
10. Strong influencing and negotiating skills.
11. Highly effective communicator with the ability to clearly and concisely articulate ideas, concepts, and proposals.
12. Committed to working in a multi-cultural environment.
13. Demonstrates a professional, courteous demeanor.

Annual Salary is $50,448 to $51,976 commensurate with experience and degree exceeding the required minimum qualifications.
