Job Description:

  • Coordinates human resource functions for the College of Medicine (COM) and serves as an HR Generalist for the COM and liaison to other UCF colleges and departments. Contributes to the recruitment and ongoing development of a superior workforce. Reports to the HR Director, Health Affairs.
     
  • Coordinates the online recruitment process for advertising, hiring of new employees, and for recruitment of regional and national searches. Schedules and coordinates search committee meetings and candidate interviews. Performs the creation and maintenance of applicants/candidate’s applications and selection records. Ensures search protocols are followed.
     
  • Reviews, prepares, and monitors the processing of the COM HR data to include online recruitment requisitions, employment agreements and hiring packets, electronic Personnel Action Forms (ePAF), terminations, and employment agreement renewals.
     
  • Coaches and provides guidance to supervisors on the university's disciplinary process. Works with supervisors to create and deliver performance management and corrective counseling documentation. Coaches supervisors on resolving employee disputes, grievances, and employee engagement issues.
     
  • Responsible for the on-boarding and off-boarding of UCFH employees. Conducts exit interviews and completes employee exit checklists. Promotes safety awareness, assists with workers comp claims and leave of absence requests.
     
  • Prepares and updates position descriptions for the establishment, updating, and reclassification of positions. Facilitates various compensation functions, such as preliminary salary analyses and market reviews, etc. Coaches supervisors to make equitable hiring and promotion decisions.
     
  • Assists with the annual medical residency on-boarding during the peak processing period. Serves as a backup for co-workers on vacation (ie COMHR email account). Assists with the delivery of new COM new employee orientation and training sessions for COM personnel. Resolves payroll inquiries and provides general benefits related to information.
     
  • Assists in the annual performance appraisal process. Maintain professional HR designation through ongoing professional development. Required training to include FERPA, HIPAA, COM Industry Relations, and other required university and college training.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's or Master's degree and 2+ years of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

Able to work independently within job responsibilities.
