The Opportunity:

The JMH Talent Recruitment Officer is responsible for identifying, curating, and cultivating current and future hiring needs at the corporate and field level. In addition to creating recruitment and retention strategies,  including the design and execution of online advertising opportunities and  employee referral programs, this person will engage individuals and organizations at the grassroots level to generate long-term employee pipelines. Key to the success of this role is the ability to recognize the value of acquiring talent as a growth strategy and to possess a background in working with people in forward-facing positions. This person will  be comfortable in opening new doors and truly enjoying working with the public along with having excellent communication, judgement, and interpersonal skills.

The Team Ambassador and Growth Agent will help build a strong employer brand, ensure JMH provides a positive candidate experience, position JMH to attract, hire, and retain the best employees, while growing a strong talent pipeline and reputation in the industry.

Specific Responsibilities are to Oversee all Functions of Recruiting Including:

  • Communicate with potential applicants by phone, email, or in person
  • Convert prospects to full time JMH employees
  • Screen resumes and interview candidates for various positions within an organization
  • Create job announcements that attract talent to all positions using traditional and non-traditional techniques
  • Apply principles of behavioral interviewing to properly assess the qualifications of candidates
  • Investigate referrals, references, and social media sources to formulate a well-rounded understanding of applicant qualifications, personality and talent
  • Establish and maintain professional relationships with colleges and local organizations to participate in job fairs or networking events
  • Properly execute ground and high level offers to candidates
  • Promote the company’s reputation and attractiveness as a good employment opportunity
  • Build and maintain network of potential candidates through pro-active market research and on-going relationship management; demonstrating ability to anticipate hiring manager preferences
  • Recruit candidates and possess the mentality to “profile people and gauge chemistry of candidates for fit and understand their motivation” rather than sell a role
  • Attracting suitable candidates through databases, online employment forums, in-person initiatives, etc.
  • Assess applicant’s knowledge, skills, and experience to best suit open positions
  • Foster trust-based relationships with candidates, gaining a close understanding of their requirements and concerns
  • Provide a great candidate experience and act as a company advocate

Designing the Strategies

  • Recommend ideas and strategies related to recruitment that will contribute to the long-range growth of the company, implementing any new processes and fine-tuning standard processes for recruiting
  • Communicate effectively with the hiring manager and team to ensure preparedness during the interview process. Share and exchange information with all levels of management
  • Identify future hiring needs and work with internal teams to develop job descriptions and specifications
  • Articulate in writing a plan with deliverables, timelines, and a formal tracking process. Providing recruitment reports to team managers
  • Stay current in the latest market trends and talent landscape, maximizes competitive intelligence
  • Participate in special projects/recruiting initiatives including assessment of best practices in interviewing techniques, leveraging of internal sources of talent and identification of best suited talent
  • Manage internship programs and other pipeline programs

Job Type: Full Time

Job Location: Sanford but will travel to Tampa
