As a Ride Mechanic, you’ll provide a high level of technical, electrical and mechanical expertise in order to ensure our guests enjoy a thrilling, breathtaking – and safe experience.
Responsibilities Include:
• Inspect, diagnose and repair all park rides, including watercraft, slides, nets, and moving walks
• Uphold all department safety standards, including test riding and inspections
• Complete all required documentation
• Communicate any ride related questions/concerns to leadership
• Maintain proficiency in all manufacturing manuals for each ride
• Perform daily cleaning and maintenance duties, including care of tools
• Provide exceptional service to guests and team members
What it Takes to Succeed:
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Working knowledge of basic electrical controls, pneumatic and hydraulic systems
• Ability to understand and follow all ride/safety policies
• Ability to complete and pass training and competency tests for each ride
• Excellent communication skills, including the ability to read and interpret technical documents
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
• Ability to lift 50 pounds and push/pull up to 100 pounds with assistance
• Ability to stand for an entire shift
• Ability to test-ride all rides
• Ability to climb stairs/ladders and work at heights up to 385 ft.
• Ability to work in all weather and temperature conditions
• Ability to work in confined spaces/tight areas
• Flexibility in working varying shifts/hours
• Trade or technical school certificate/diploma preferred
• Electrical/mechanical engineering schooling a plus
• Current Florida electrical journeyman license highly desirable
• PLC/electrical knowledge and prior mechanical experience preferred
• Experience in other related maintenance fields preferred
