Position Summary:
The Steward is responsible for maintaining the receipt and storage of product into the kitchen.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Checks in product with the Executive Chef.
- Balances incoming product against the Purchase Order, ensuring proper receipt of product.
- Stores incoming product.
- Rotates existing product to ensure optimal utilization.
- Creates, maintains and removes appropriate labels for product.
- Maintains proper cleanliness of all coolers and dry storage areas.
- May perform other duties as assigned.

Education and/or Experience:
GED or High School diploma or equivalent and one to two years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to make timely and sound decisions. Proven ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines. Ability to deal effectively with a diversity of individuals at several organizational levels.
