In-House Counsel- Compliance

Compliance and Regulatory Corporate Counsel

I have been retained by a national financially stable commercial carrier to assist in identifying legal talent for their newly created In-house Counsel and Compliance legal opportunity. This role will provide sound legal advice and direction nationally regarding compliance and regulatory issues affecting the company within the Underwriting, Product and Claim departments.

• Experience with P&C insurance compliance issues to include codes, filings, forms to include ISO forms Underwriting and Product compliance and guidelines knowledge in multi-states is preferred Dealing with Department of Insurance contacts nationally Knowledge of commercial insurance products highly desired Responsible for contract drafting and review, including compliance with data security regulations; multi state legal research on statutes and regulations governing the insurance industry Interpreting changes to applicable laws and regulations; and drafting and reviewing corporate policies. Must have a Juris Doctorate degree and be admitted to at least one state bar Minimum of 4+ years of P&C Compliance and Regulatory experience

This is an in office role, but will be allowed to work remote (2) two days a week.
