Starting Salary: $69,513/yr – $106,766/yr depending on the level of education and experience.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS & ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
The IT Specialist IV - Senior Business Intelligence Analyst is a key member of the IMS Solutions Delivery data team. This role supports data analytics, operational reporting, efficiency projects, and problem resolution. This individual will address complex operational challenges by analyzing and defining strategic and operational improvements within our workgroups. This team member will also interface with other organizational teams to recommend solutions and efficiencies, manage the agency data warehouse environment, and develop solutions to create efficiencies within existing agency reporting requirements.
The Senior Business Intelligence Analyst transforms data into actionable insights that inform the organization's strategic decisions and drive business value. Possesses a combination of business and technical knowledge, enabling the identification of opportunities for process improvement in support of strategic initiatives and surfacing actionable information out of large complex systems. This position reports to an IT Supervisor. #oj
Minimum Requirements
- At least 18 years of age.
- U.S. Citizen or possess a current permanent resident card.
- Accredited high school or GED diploma.
- Must be able to comprehend and communicate fluently in verbal and written English.
- Good work history.
- Clean criminal history; any arrest history will be individually evaluated.
- No illegal drug usage within the last year. Other usage will be evaluated on a case by case basis.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) AND four (4) years of development experience in the following: Microsoft SQL Server Administration, SSRS, and SSIS products as well as using other Business Intelligence tools such as Tableau or Microsoft Power BI. OR Bachelor's degree (B.A. or B.S.) in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or related field AND three (3) years of development experience in the following: Microsoft SQL Server Administration, SSRS, and SSIS products as well as using other Business Intelligence tools such as Tableau or Microsoft Power BI.
- Must have a valid Florida driver's license. Must attend and successfully complete the agency sponsored Law Enforcement Vehicle Operations (LEVO) Training if assignment includes driving an agency vehicle. Use of agency vehicle would require appropriate driving history and passing agency biennial driver's physical exam.
- Depending on assignment, may be required to be FCIC/NCIC certified within one (1) year of accepting position.
- Ability to develop and manage the agency's SQL data warehouse.
- Ability to extract, transform and load business appropriate data into agency data warehouse.
- Ability to perform data mining, queries and extractions to acquire, aggregate, cleanse, organize and manage large complex datasets from multiple sources.
- Ability to gather and analyze large amounts of information quickly and problem solve effectively. Prioritize analysis work, applying critical thinking and objectively interpreting results, providing meaningful data-driven insights and improvement recommendations, supporting business stakeholders in making strategic decisions.
- Ability to design, develop and maintain reports, scorecards, and dashboards that effectively tell the story of the data and highlight anomalies in a manner that customers can easily understand and act upon.
- Ability to develop, track, and report on key operational metrics in partnership with business leaders.
- Ability to prepare effective presentations and articulately communicate findings and results.
- Ability to document work processes and produce training materials to train co-workers and customers. Actively monitors daily business results (reporting) and anticipates developing trends and potential impacts to future results.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Data Science, Data Analytics and Artificial Intelligence and Python programming and using Tableau.
- Advanced skills in one or more of the following: web development tools, database administration tools, and business intelligence tools.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk, hear, and also sit and work on the computer for long periods of time. The employee is occasionally required to stand and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, or use hands to handle or feel. The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and may have to assist someone lifting up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Work is generally performed in a standard office setting. The employee must be able to work in remote locations within Orange County and possibly outside of Orange County. The employee will be working with computer related equipment and may occasionally be exposed to the risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Depending on assignment, may be required to occasionally work evenings and/or weekends. The employee is required to support the agency's emergency operations during a critical incident and may be recalled. The employee may also be assigned to a technical team in order to support the agency during a critical incident. The employee will need to be available to be on call as determined by their supervisor.
