UCF Global at the University of Central Florida functions as the primary international hub for students, faculty, and staff. Through strong partnerships, UCF Global is committed to increasing international and local mobility and enhancing the university's global competency. Encompassing the English language programs and multiple support services for the international population on campus, UCF Global aids in transforming the lives of the UCF and the global community.
The Opportunity:
This position will lead and oversee the development of curriculum and assessments for UCF Global customized programming. This role will be responsible for ensuring that UCF Global's programming maintains quality, standards, and equity. The Manager, Academic Support Services, Curriculum and Assessment will also be an active facilitator of customized courses, community program courses, and pathway program courses. This position reports directly to the Associate Vice President (AVP) of UCF Global.
This is an Auxiliary funded position. Employment is subject to the availability of funding and may cease at the time funding for this employment is depleted.
Responsibilities:
Develop, design, and review curricula and assessments for all customized, community programs and pathway programs.
Review potential funding sources (grants, etc.) for all special programs. Collaborate with UCF Global leadership on the compilation and submission of grant proposals.
Hire, orient, and support PT faculty in Special, Community, and Pathway programs through meetings and professional development experiences. Provide professional development to faculty in Special Programs. Modify student orientation materials, participate in student orientation
Data collection, aggregating, and reporting on learner success in Special, Community, and Pathway programs
Teach in customized, community programs and pathway programs as requested by the unit leader.
Serve as English assessment contact for university programs, i.e. Versant Speak, Versant, and others. Assess Versant/Level Scores for language readiness for university admission
Lead CEA writing, documentation, reporting, and collaboration with Global stakeholders, communicate and attend all CEA Meetings.
Lead the Institutional Effectiveness Assessment Plan for all of UCF Global - collect data, aggregate data, and follow up with strategies.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master's degree and 4+ years of relevant experience
Preferred Qualifications:
Computer skills in MS Office Suite including but not limited to Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and Outlook; and Canvas.
Strong written and oral communication skills are key to this position.
Strong customer service skills
TESOL experience /certification
Proven experience in curriculum development
Strong, proven organizational skills
