Faculty Senate

The UCF Faculty Senate is the basic legislative body of the University. It is the primary voice of the faculty and serves as the main channel of communication between faculty members and administration. It is an advisory body to the president and provost and, as such, participates in shared governance. Its committees provide academic oversight by reviewing and approving policies, new courses, course changes, new programs and program revisions.

The Opportunity:

This position is the day-to-day administrative support for the officers of the Faculty Senate.

Responsibilities:

  • Schedule, prepare, distribute and maintain all materials for Senate, Steering, and various operational committee meetings.

  • Maintain records for joint committees and annual reports.

  • Attend all Senate and Steering meetings, manage zoom aspects of the meeting along with taking the minutes.

  • Design, develop, program, test, maintain website content along with custom databases.

  • Coordinate with various offices across campus for meetings, elections, appointments, replacements, etc.

  • Manage fiscal operations for the office.

Minimum Qualifications:

High School Diploma or Equivalent and 4+ years of relevant experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent and 4+ years of relevant experience.

  • WorkDay experience.

  • Website and database management.

  • Strong organization skills for both physical and digital workspaces.

  • Quick thinking and problem solving capabilities.

  • High ability to be independent and collaborate with others across campus.
