The Opportunity:

UCF is seeking to fill multiple Student Coach I roles. Candidates for this job posting will be considered for additional vacancies in this department. Within the University of Central Florida's (UCF) Online Connect Center, the Student Coach Level I is an entry-level, multi-faceted position that includes support for both prospective and current UCF students. This position will collect contact and other data and will support UCF Online students through ongoing coaching support. Also, the position will create and maintain positive relationships with all stakeholders, including academic college partners and students for their transition and engagement.


  • Performs student outreach and follow-up by utilizing multiple methods of communication (e.g., phone, email, instant messaging, video, social networking sites) to engage with students.

  • Performs basic coaching and onboarding support for students through various modalities.

  • Conducts basic coaching and ongoing relationship building with UCF students and supports them through graduation.

  • Responsible for providing information related to University, College, and Program policies and procedures, as well as general information related to community resources to provide students with information and guidance, and to assist students in making informed decisions.

  • Uses Salesforce and other relevant technology systems.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree and 0+ years of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience working at an institution of higher education.

  • Previous Salesforce experience.

  • Previous coaching or advising experience.

Work Schedule

40 hours per week, within the hours of operation of the Online Connect Center: Monday - Friday; 7:00 AM-7:00 PM and Saturday 10:00 AM-2:00 PM.
