As part of the Adrenaline Architecture team, We are looking for a blend of technical expertise and leadership to lead and shape the Sports analytics architecture forward and deliver value to the business.

You will engage with a wider range of team members including analytics leaders, analysts, game studios, data engineering, data science partners, and other teams. You will also look at how to provide subject matter expertise on our architecture journey, contributing to the development of analytics products in Sports.

You will report to the Director of Data Architecture.

What you will do:

Design short and long-term data architecture roadmaps aligned with our goals

  • Partner with senior leadership to translate complex business use cases into comprehensive data models and applicable insights
  • Lead the transition towards a Data Lakehouse architecture and AI-driven product designs
  • Lead large-scale collaborative efforts across multiple teams and franchises
  • Conduct architecture and engineering assessments, developing improvement plans and best practices
  • Develop conceptual, logical, physical, and transformational data models to support advanced analytics and AI/ML solutions
  • Design distributed workflows and pipelines for real-time data ingestion, transformation, and analysis at scale with Data Engineering
  • Oversee architecture implementation in collaboration with Engineering Tech leads
  • Improve current architecture and analytics workflows through proactive improvements and process innovations
  • Collaborate with Governance Teams to establish data standards, including business vocabularies, naming conventions, and transformation rules
  • Partner with Platform Teams to define data serialization formats, ensuring data integrity and telemetry consistency across domains
  • Collaborate with Data Governance on data quality and metadata management practices
  • Use domain knowledge to frame complex design in the context of critical sports products.
  • Present advanced technology and thought leadership to diverse audiences, bridging the gap between technical and business perspectives
  • Demonstrate expertise in large-scale data processing and big data technologies
  • Exhibit understanding of complex database structures and expert-level querying skills
  • Stay up to date with latest trends in analytics solutions and distributed design frameworks

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience in data architecture, analytics, and big data technologies
  • Experience leading complex data projects and driving architectural innovation
  • Experience with modern data architectures, including Data Lakehouse concepts and AI/ML integration
  • Expert-level skills in data modeling, ETL/ELT processes, and distributed systems design
  • Expert on cloud-based data warehouse. ( Preferably Snowflake)
  • Experience with real-time data processing and streaming technologies (e.g., Kafka, Spark Streaming)
  • Proficiency in SQL/Python

BASE SALARY RANGES

• California (depending on location e.g. Los Angeles vs. Sacramento):
º $161,100 - $239,700 USD Annually
• New York (depending on location e.g. Manhattan vs. Buffalo):
º $142,900 - $239,700 USD Annually
• Jersey City, NJ :
º $187,400 - $239,700 USD Annually
• Colorado (depending on location e.g. Denver vs. Colorado Springs):
º $153,100 - $206,200 USD Annually
• Washington (depending on location e.g. Seattle vs. Spokane):
º $142,900 - $230,000 USD Annually
• British Columbia (depending on location e.g. Vancouver vs. Victoria):
º $126,000 - $176,300 CAN Annually

Base salary is just one part of the overall compensation at EA. In the US, we offer a package of benefits including paid time off (3 weeks per year to start), 80 hours per year of sick time, 16 paid company holidays per year, 10 weeks paid time off to bond with baby, medical/dental/vision insurance, life insurance, disability insurance, and 401(k) to regular full-time employees. Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and equity. For British Columbia, we offer a package of benefits including vacation (3 weeks per year to start), 10 days per year of sick time, paid top-up to EI/QPIP benefits up to 100% of base salary when you welcome a new child (12 weeks for maternity, and 4 weeks for parental/adoption leave), extended health/dental/vision coverage, life insurance, disability insurance, retirement plan to regular full-time employees. Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and equity. "
