As a FPGA Design Engineer at MFC, you will join one of the largest networks of professionals, implementing cutting edge technologies on both existing and new development platforms. You will be helping us solve the world's most difficult challenges supporting such wide-ranging domain areas such as aircraft flight command and control, air traffic control, health care, and homeland defense. We are a matrix engineering and technology organization so you will touch multiple programs over your career!

What You Will Be Doing

As a FPGA Design Engineer, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

- Develop, debug, and integrate processor subsystem features and interfaces in FPGA hardware for Advanced Processors.
- Developing FPGA requirements, FPGA code development of logic design, generation of self-checking test bench, unit test, synthesis, timing analysis, Built-In-Test (BIT) and support of debug and system integration activities.
- High-speed serial interferences inside an FPGA.
- Working on and collaborate with cross functional teams with other engineering disciplines.
- Keeping up-to-date on related industry best practices and technological advancements.

Candidates filling this position will need a US citizen and will need a clearance at the level specified in “Clearance Level” or will need the ability to get a clearance if not specified. In addition to meeting security clearance requirements, candidate may need to be approved to work Special Access Program (SAP) prior to start of employment.

Basic Qualifications:
-Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical or Computer Engineering with a concentration in FPGA design and Digital Signal Processing through either coursework or relevant experience.
-Relevant experience with FPGA design and/or Digital Signal Processing.
-Strong communications, collaboration, and presentation skills.
-Existing Active Secret Security clearance
Desired Skills:
- MSEE, MSCE would be a plus.
- Experience with System-Verilog, Verilog, C/C++, MatLab / Simulink, System Verilog languages; Synopsis Synplify, Synopsis VCS, NCSim, ChipScope tool sets desired.
-Experience with Xilinx/AMD and MicroSemi/Microchip part families internal FPGA fabric and IP.
- FPGA design experience with tools noted above.
- Previous experience related to aerospace design techniques would be a plus.
- Prior experience with Lockheed Marin MFC is plus

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
