Within the spirit of “Making People's Dreams Come True”, this position is responsible for documenting community events through compelling videography captured in an ethical manner. These duties are accomplished while delivering Raving Fans customer service to both internal and external customers.

Responsibilities:

  • Work closely across newsroom teams to develop the day's top video stories for in-studio and out-of-studio assignments.
  • Deliver a high level of quality in the technical aspects of videography, such as composition, lighting and editing.
  • Provide accurate information for captioning and scripts.
  • Work both on a team and independently for long hours at a time, meeting established deadlines.
  • Use video-processing software to prepare videos for editing.
  • Produce marketing and promotional videos as assigned.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration and contributes to a healthy team dynamic.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Education & Experience Requirements:

  • Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two (2) year college or technical school; or one (1) year of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • This position is subjected to The Villages Vehicle Safety Program and its policies as it requires the use of personal vehicles for company business. Please refer to the Vehicle Safety Program for the policies and procedures that this position is required to follow.
  • A Valid Driver's License with a record acceptable to company standards is required for this position.
