Responsible for executing predictive maintenance, analyzing results, creating reports and collaborating with Ride & Show leadership in order to improve the reliability of our attractions. Works with the attraction maintenance teams, UO Engineering, and Reliability Centered Maintenance departments to identify critical risk assets and components, ensuring proper predictive maintenance techniques are utilized. Maintains certifications in Vibration Analysis, Ultrasound, and Infrared Thermography.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:- Perform vibration, ultrasound, oil sampling and IR predictive maintenance towards mechanical and electrical systems throughout the UO theme park environment. Coordinate with Ride & Show maintenance team to access and execute work route on high criticality assets. Works with venue to communicate and coordinate corrective actions as direct result of predictive maintenance activities. Assists with both down-time related and venue requested testing and analysis.
- Analyzes and interprets the data results from predictive maintenance measurements conducted on high criticality assets. Evaluate Asset health based on data gathered and compare with baselines and other knowledge. Communicate to appropriate ride management by creating detailed and actionable reports in order to effectively plan and schedule any required repairs. Articulates benefits of predictive maintenance practices to venue partners.
- Supports all predictive maintenance projects and initiatives. Works closely with Leadership, Vendors, Venue APMs, and Engineering to facilitate planning, installation, execution, and evaluation of projects. Coordinates assigned project activities between ride planners, ride supervisors, ride managers, ride technicians, and departments outside of Tech Services, such as IT and other outside parties. This includes, but is not limited to, remote monitoring, continuous monitoring, and other permanently installed reliability solutions.
- Assist with Motor Circuit Analysis program by performing regular and requested data collection and venue requested downtime related data collection and analysis.
- Analyzes venue assets and components to create a criticality risk matrix by identifying failure modes, detectability, probability of failure, and overall consequences of failures. Ranks assets and components to advise on additional predictive maintenance requirements to increase venue reliability and increase guest satisfaction.
- Provide input and entry into CMMS system for the completion of predictive maintenance work orders, creation of predictive maintenance follow up corrective actions, requalification results and all report outs accompanying such work actions.
- Document and actively maintain all testing locations and testing procedures within specified accessible electronic location.
- Utilize continuous improvement methodologies to identify gaps in process and predictive technologies as it pertains to ride reliability. Stays current on predictive technologies and equipment as it relates to the maintenance and reliability of UO mechanical and electrical systems.
- Achieves Level I certifications in Vibration Analysis, Ultrasound, and Infrared Thermography in accordance with the standards and requirements of ASNT within 6 months of hire. Completes training on Motor Circuit Analysis basic data collection and analysis within 1 year of hire.
- Understands and actively participates in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training and team member involvement activities.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- High school degree or GED required;
- Associates degree (AA) or equivalent from two-year College or technical school is preferred.
- 3+ Years: Experience in trouble shooting and repair of complex electro-mechanical systems, as well as hydraulic and mechanical systems either in the theme park industry or other industrial industries; Experience in predictive maintenance disciplines such as vibration analysis, ultrasound, infrared thermography, oil sampling and analysis is preferred.

Ability to attain the following certifications within an agreed upon timeframe:
NAARSO Level 1
Vibration Analysis Level 1
Ultrasound Level 1
Infrared Thermography Level 1
Valid Florida Drivers License/required to operate company vehicles
The team member will be expected to remain in the position for a minimum of two years due to the extensive training requirements. The position will require schedule flexibility which could change by shift or days off from day to day or week to week as PdM work orders require.
